Who we are
WEB9 LIMITED ("Web9", "we", "us") is the data controller for this website. We are a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 17241257), registered office: SIU Offices, 4–6 Greatorex Street, London, E1 5NF, United Kingdom. The studio operates from County Down, Northern Ireland. For anything to do with your data, email hello@web9.co.uk.
What we collect
Two kinds of information, both kept to a minimum. There are no user accounts on this site, and we don't take payments here.
When you contact us
If you email hello@web9.co.uk (or use a form that routes there), we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to reply and to carry out any work that follows from it.
Automatically, as you browse
Like most sites, ours records limited technical and usage information through the third-party services described under Cookies below. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we never buy or sell personal data.
Cookies & third-party services
The site is built to be light, so the cookie footprint is small. What's set falls into three groups:
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work.
Our legal bases (UK GDPR)
- →Replying to your enquiry: our legitimate interest in answering you, and taking steps towards a contract if you go on to engage us.
- →Essential cookies: our legitimate interest in a secure, working site.
- →Analytics and advertising cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of processors who handle data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Google (analytics), and — where active — Meta (measurement and advertising). Each processes data under its own terms. We don't sell or rent your data, and we only disclose it where the law requires.
International transfers
Some of these providers (such as Google, Meta and Cloudflare) process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards — for example the UK addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your query and any work that follows, then for a reasonable period for our records, after which they're deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the provider's standard retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you access to, correct, delete, or restrict the data we hold about you; object to processing; ask for portability; and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@web9.co.uk and we'll action it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear here rather than applied quietly.
